surprise attack

We are taking my in-laws to the Bluff this weekend.  The first time Chris went, a cute little mouse crawled right over his foot, so I hope that starts an ongoing initiation.  Hopefully his dad dances just like Chris did, we still laugh about it.  This past Sunday, while we were on the boat, my awesome aunts (yes, alliteration) went shopping to get a few odds and ends.  When we got back all browned from our day in the sun, I took a quick shower.  When I pulled the curtain back there was a furry creature between the sink and the toilet.  I had to look twice but realized that it was too big to be real, so I immediately knew that my aunts were trying to get a scream out of someone and this thing they bought, were one of their "odds and ends".  The furry creature is now strategically placed between the coach and end table in the living room awaiting anyone who happens to notice, or hopefully, my in-laws.  Fishing wire was provided to rig around the thing's neck to ensure that someone will see it; even if we have to physically pull it onto someone's foot.

I told my family that I was going to go early to clean up and my aunt says, "Honey, you have your hands full if you are going to try to make this place a pearl."  Then they stayed an extra day to do all the cleaning for me!  I love my family and our Bluff.

I'll keep you posted!

Time Out

I do believe this is my first official blog!  I am going to try to spare you and try not to type just like I talk.

I am about 5 hours away from freedom of "the pub".  A little time out time.  Going home to pack and then traveling to the Bluff.  Chris has to work, so it will be a weekend full of girls and David, who will love every minute of it.

Family, bon fires, grandma's cooking and then floating in the lake.  Nothing better.
